O The Captadores foi formado em junho de 2009 em Belo Horizonte.

A primeira formação da banda foi Juarez Rodrigues (Guitarra/Voz), Cau Marini (Baixo/Voz) e Arthur Corrêa (Bateria), que deram início as primeiras composições.

Já com uma nova formação; Juarez Rodrigues (Guitarra/Voz), Rogério Pixixo (Baixo/Backvocal) e Mauro Novaes (Bateria/Backvocal) a banda decide em Outubro de 2010 gravar duas músicas para divulgação.
